My name is Denton Smith. I have taken several courses from Ed Rodriguez and this, is by far the most fun, the most challenging, and the most educational of them all, so far.
The Bodyguard training offers live-fire shooting at "assailants" while moving to protect and remove the principle from the situation, as well as moving to safety and the use of cover, tactics to protect against a secondary attack, engaging "assailants" as a team, shooting past each other and in close proximity to each other, combat safety, and maintenance of field of fire without endangering your teammates, and maitaining your presents in the fight and removing yourself from the fight as soon as feasable.
I believe this course id for the serious security specialist. Thanks Ed.

Thank you for the CAT (Counter Assault Team) Training. It was a different experience. I never dreamed of this type of training, being under my belt of knowledge. It was SUPER FUN learned a lot and have more confidence in shooting from a vehicle and protecting someone from a ambush.
Thanks for the experiences .

It takes a rare person to inspire confidence and develop competence in a 66 year old women who had never fired the semi-automatic she brought to the Level 1 PDTSS class. Ed Rodriguez, Lead Instructor, is just such an individual. Through clear directions, individual coaching, and positive feedback, Ed was able to vastly increase my basic knowledge and skill level. What sets Level 1 class apart from tradition point-and-shoot concealed carry classes are the various simulations Ed has designed and implemented as the practical application component. Ed Rodriguez keeps it real and makes it fun.
The results are empowering.

Thank you for a fun class. Even though Bill is experienced and I am a novice, we both came away feeling like we learned quite a bit in the class that will make us better shooters and keep us safer, Since we didn't just stand there and shoot, but moved around we feel more confident about our abilities in a real life situation. We appreciate you letting us shoot your guns, so that we could gain experience and see if we liked them. It was fun to shoot that much at one time too. we learned a lot, we enjoyed ourselves and we are looking forward to using your range and to take more classes.

The Peterson EOD Flight would like to thank PDTSS and Ed Rodriguez for providing an outstanding customized tactical course. Ed was approached to develope a new Carbine/ handgun course to fill a gap in the EOD training. Ed did not hesitate to work with our unit to desighn a course to meet our needs. The subsequant curriculum resulted in our unit training six individuals increasing their knowlege and their survivability.
These EOD operators are now ready for mission set in Afghanistan. We have worked with Ed in the past and he never fails to provide us the best training available. The professionalism and knowlege of Ed is unsurpassed; his instruction and guidance in shoot, move and communicate is a force multiplier and is greatly appreciated.

TO: Ed
Ed & Chris,
I have to admit the only reason I took your defensive and tactical shooting class, is because I lost a bet to my husband. I do not like guns and was very tentative about taking the class. You made me feel comfortable and made it a fun learning experience. Who would have thought I would have had fun shooting ay targets and learning what to do in case I am attacked? Your fun sense of humor put me at ease and I found I wasn't self conscious about not knowing ANYTHING about guns. It beacme more fun after learning the safety of a gun and then shooting it and find out that it doesn't "kick" like you hear on TV. Your training is very realistic and made me feel much more comfortable in handling a gun in a safe manner. I love the location and would recommend your class to anyone. By trhe end of the day, I was actually hitting the targets and having FUN!
Thank you for your patience. Sue Narad

Wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I enjoyed your basic class. Your realistic approach to training, understanding natural human responses was a new and refreshing approach to effective training. Other courses I've been to try to change your basic instinctive reactions to emergency situations, and unless you practice these new techniques religiously, they won't work.
Your training took realistic situations we might find ourselves in understanding natural human response, and teaches us how to deal with them.
I'm looking forward to your advance course.
I've recommended your course to all my friends
Thanks Guys

Janis and I wanted to thank you for a good class on Home Invasions, I took your suggestions on the house and made some changes.
I drilled a hole in the top of the front door and purchased the Fox Pepper Spray for that purpose as you suggested. Good class Keep it up.

I recently took the level 1 class with PDSS. While I grew up hunting and was familiar with shotguns and rifles, my exposure to handguns was very limited. Ed and Al in the course of the 8 hour "class" transformed my ignorance into complete comfort and confidence with handguns. They went well beyond just shooting, and addressed all aspects of keeping safe and other means of self defense. The combination of a competitive marksman was the perfect educational recipe. I hope to bring my two teenage boys to the class some day soon as well. Ed and Al blended information, humor, education, and action to make it a truly memorable and very worthwhile day.

Dear Ed,
My name is Pete. I attended your Level I class on June 12th, My wife and I visited our daughter and grandson living in Houston,Texas a couple of day’s after taking your class. I cannot believe I had to use what you taught me.On our last night there we all went to dinner at Lubies Restaurant. We were leaving and as I reached my door this scumbag, approached me with a knife demanding my money, I took out my wallet and he came close enough I did your FACE SMASH drill and knocked him out cold. His buddy was in shock and I pulled my gun out and held him there with the help of an off duty fireman who witnessed the incident. The fireman said that was cool what I did and it was very brave. I told him who I learned it from. The cops came after a 36 min.wait.
I wanted to thank you Ed for taking the time to train me, your training gave me the knowledge and boosted my confidence sky high. You were correct on the adrenaline rush but I, was, aware of my surroundings and thats what helped me out.
My family and I thank you.
Sincerely,
Pete
